How to choose the right size bed & how to measure. You can also remove some of the filling to make the base a little softer, adding it back in as your pup grows to provide more support. For adult dogs, we suggest measuring from nose to the base of the tail (easiest to do when your dog is asleep), then add 6 10 inches (15 25 cm) to determine the length or diameter of the bed. The bed should be large enough for the dog to be able to lie in its favourite position. Please note: like us, dogs are individuals.
